Athens, Greece: Part Two

I really enjoyed seeing some of the ruins, sites and different parts of Athens from the double decker bus. The bus line I was with was CitySightSeeing.  We had the choice to get off at which ever stop and then catch the next bus when we were done exploring.   I saw many stately churches and a beautiful fountain and statue on a square.  I also saw used bookstores and other merchandise vendors selling from the sidewalk

We stopped at the Acropolis Museum and The Parthenon.  The bus arrived at the Greek Parliament just in time for us to see the changing of the guards. I found the regiment strange, as to how they marched so slowly, with their oversized shoes, lifting each leg deliberately high.

Later that day I found a real Greek restaurant on a quieter corner not too far from Epidavros hotel where I was staying.  There were only minimal smokers around there.  I could only eat a quarter of the huge Pork Gyros that came with a few fries.  The meat is cooked until tender on spits that hold large amounts of meat shaped like a cone.

Thanks to Young Living Purification oil to inhale to help me through the smokey areas of Greece.

Join me for my next Greek adventure leaving by Ferry to Mykonos Island.

We stopped at the Acropolis Museum and the Parthenon.  I was amazed at how much vegetation there was surrounding these structures. The bus slowed down at the changing of the guards at the Athens Parliament.  I found it strange how they marched so slowly, wearing their oversized shoes, and lifting each leg deliberately high.
