A two hour drive and a rickety road brought us to Montezuma. I immediately could feel the charm in this little village. We had time to take a few pictures before launching the speed boat to go across the Gulf of Nicoya and dock at Jaco. There were no docks on Montezuma and Jaco beaches. The crew wrapped our huge bags with plastic and loaded one suitcase on each shoulder. Then they had to fight with the waves to get the bags on. It was amazing how strong they were. Needless to say, we did get wet. It was hot day so we did not mind.
