Lunessance Winery, Summerland, BC
This quaint winery is not far from Summerland. This vineyard follows six different lunar rhythms and the vineyards are treated to listening to classical music during their growing season. They still use old fashioned methods while harvesting the grapes and are Eco Friendly. We were there on two different occasions. The first time we ordered the sausage and cheese platter with very hard crackers. I suggest you bring your own snacks which is 100% acceptable.
Our second visit was geared to listen to our new friend sing. Michele Nadeau is now from West Kelowna. She sings every Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 at Lunessance Winery and is accompanied by David Sproule on his keyboard. They perform Pop Opera and mostly Show Tunes. She has an amazing voice and David’s skills on the keyboard highlights her performance. A few of us experienced goose bumps and had to pull out a kleenex to dry our eyes.
This time we did bring our own lunch. You can buy wine by the glass. A bottle of wine will cost you around $20 or $30. This no frills winery has some great tasting wines that you should certainly try. Cheers!
You might even spot a lamborghini pulling up to the winery. For directions and information go to lunessencewinery.com
